This Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in your Genieye GeniJet™.
The Limited Warranty does not cover:
1. Problems that result from:
- External causes such as accident, abuse, misuse or problems with electrical power or plumbing systems.
- Servicing not authorized by Genieye Systems Inc.
- Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions.
- Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform maintenance in accordance with the maintenance instructions.
- Problems caused by using accessories, parts or components not supplied by Genieye Systems Inc.
2. Products with missing or altered Serial Number tags.
3. Products for which Genieye Systems Inc. has not received payment.
4. Products that have been removed from their place of initial installation.
5. Products that have not been installed in accordance with federal, provincial or municipal codes and ordinances.
6. Customer installation costs or set-up.
7. Products that have been physically altered in any way.
We do not accept liability beyond the remedies provided for in this limited warranty or for consequential or incidental damages, including, without limitation, any liability for third-party claims against you for damages or for products not being available for use. Our liability will be not exceed the amount originally paid for the product that is the subject of a claim. This is the maximum amount for which we are responsible.
Units sold prior to July 13, 2008
During the period of one (1) year from date of purchase, Genieye Systems Inc. will repair or replace the product or any of its parts returned to us that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship.
Units sold on or after July 13, 2008
The first year warranty is as above. During the second year, the warranty decreases on a sliding scale monthly until it expires at the end of two years.
Coverage for both warranties is as follows:
If Genieye Systems Inc. is unable to repair the product, we will replace it with a comparable product that is new or refurbished. When you contact us, we will issue a Return Material Authorization number for you to include on all correspondence and with your return. Products must be returned in their original or equivalent packaging, all shipping and brokerage charges PREPAID . Shipments of returned goods must be insured or you accept the risk if the product is lost or damaged during delivery. We will return the repaired or replacement products to you. Genieye Systems Inc. will pay to ship these products provided the return address is in Canada or the United States (excluding Puerto Rico and all U.S. possessions and territories). In the event of an address outside the specified area, we are happy to ship freight collect.
If we determine that the issue is NOT covered under the terms of this warranty, we will notify you and inform you of available alternatives.
